Y nunca mejor dicho! Esta semana estoy unos días en Galicia por trabajo, y como yo siempre me fijo mucho en la gente de la calle, en su estilo, he de decir que el eslogan "Galicia Calidade" no es sólo por el marisco, se palpa la calidad en la calle, las tiendas, y por supuesto, en la red.

Os habéis parado a pensar la cantidad de marcas de moda que vienen de esta esquinita del país? Además del todopoderoso Inditex, aquí se crean las prendas de Adolfo Domínguez, Roberto Verino, Carolina Herrera, Purificación García, Caramelo, Bimba & Lola...y seguro que me dejo alguna más de primera línea!

Y bloggers? cuántos bloggers de primer nivel son gallegos? A mí así a la mente me viene rápidamente unos cuantos:

1. Bartabac Mode - Silvia. Quién no le conoce? Su estilo con toques románticos y casi siempre minimalista me encanta!

2. Amlul - Gala González. La blogger más internacional de España, su estilo innato es increíble. A mí me gusta más en plan casual!

3. Lovely Pepa - Alexandra. Otra de las grandes, según estudios de las más influyentes del país, y es que prenda que se pone prenda que es objeto de deseo por el resto de mortales!

4. Coco Mode - Zaira. Su estilo es más peculiar, más vintage. Y lo difícil que es vestir vintage en un país como el nuestro y sobre todo en el norte? Olé por ella!

5. Bor: un chico teníamos que poner en el top de los bloggers gallegos no? Bor derrocha clase, estilo y tendencia!

y yo me pregunto cuál es al origen de esta cuna de creación y estilo? los aires oceánicos?... sea lo que sea, que viva Galicia!

Hoy no podía escribir de otra cosa, ayer recibí un regalo especial, y digo especial porque es de mis amigas, y porque es un regalo muy muy trendy! Siempre he comentando con ellas, que me apetece ir a una boda con falda larga, al más puro estilo Rania de Jordania :) y cuando vi ésta de Massimo Dutti me enamoré, tiene una mezcla entre naïf y chic, elegante y casual que le hace perfecta para cualquier ocasión!

I couldn't write about anything else today, yesterday I got a very special gift, and I say special because it came from my friends and because it is a very trendy gift! I have always told about my wish of going to a wedding with a maxi skirt as seen on Rania of Jordan :) and when I first saw this one in Massimo Dutti I fell in love, it has a mix of naïf and chic style, elegant and casual at the same time that makes it perfect to every occassion!

Curiosamente no me gustaban las motos cuando era una adolescente, que sería lo normal, ni tenía amigos con motos...mi amor por las Vespas empezó después, en mis viajes a Ibiza y Formentera, donde comencé a asociar Vespa con verano, vacaciones, libertad...con italianos, y por tanto, con estilo. Sí, esa ha sido mi inspiración. Y ahora con recién cumplidos 30, por fin tengo mi Vespa, blanca en honor a las islas y con su toque vintage, tan característico. Me encanta!

It's odd that I didn't like motorbikes when I was a teenager, as it would have been usual, I hadn't friends with motos at that time...my love for Vespas started rather late, during my trips to Ibiza & Formentera, where I started to associate Vespa with summer, holidays, freedom..and Italian, therefore, style. Yes, that was my inspiration. And now, just turned 30, at last I've got one, a white (in honor of the islands) and vintage Vespa. I love it!

Hay multitud de ciencias y dichos populares que lo confirman: los polos opuestos se atraen, y los iguales se repelen. En cocina la tendencia es la fusión de sabores, dulce & salado nunca se han llevado tan bien. Y en moda? estoy convencida de que la regla se cumple: en la mezcla está el éxito.

There're hundreds of theories and sayings that confirm the following: opposite attract and like charges produce repellant forces. When coming to cooking the trendiest is the taste fusion, sweet & salty have been never so good friends. And what about Fashion? I'm certain this rule applies: mix & succeed.

Desde que empecé a interesarme por las it girls y el boom del street style intento cada día poner un toque diferente a mi look, lejos quedó la moda (o mi moda) de combinar hasta los pendientes con bolso, zapatos y cinturón. No, ahora intento más bien que sea todo lo contrario!

Hace un tiempo leí un artículo sobre prendas antiage, que hay cierto tipo de ropa, colores y accesorios que te quitan años. Eso sí, sin parecer ridícula!! Y bueno, como yo en dos días cambio de decena (no me gusta nada empezar por 3...) me he vuelto a acordar de aquello que leí y hoy quiero compartirlo con vosotras, y añadir alguna aportación propia. Ya me diréis si estáis de acuerdo.

Some time ago I read an article about the antiage clothes, about a certain kind of garments, colours and accessories that take years away, obviously without looking ridiculous! Because in a couple of days I'm turning 30, (I'm not happy with the starting number 3!) I've been remembering what I read and today I want to share it with you, adding my own contribution. Tell me if you agree.

Porque los 30 de ahora son los 20 de antes, los 40 los 30...pero dónde está el límite? Yo estoy convencida que todo depende de la actitud (y el estilo natural) con el que se lleven esas prendas.

Because now 30s are the old 20s, 40s are 30s...where's the limit? I do believe it's all about attitude (and the own style) of wearing those clothes.

Antiage#1: colores fluor: no es necesario ir como un policía de tráfico, pero un toque fluor en los accesorios en verano te aportará esa dosis de alegría y juventud. Mi favorito: amarillo fluor!

Antiage#1: neon colors: it's not neccessary to dress like a traffic policeman, but a touch of neon in the accessories, specially in summer, can add a good dose of youth and joy. My favourite: the neon yellow!

Antiage#2: camisa/chaqueta vaquera: sí, el denim es eterno, pero según como lo combines puede ser muy juvenil, mi favorito: camisa vaquera con falda, con toque chic!

Antiage#2: denim shirt/jacket: yes, denim is eternal, but depending on how you put together the result can be very youth. My favourite: a denim shirt with a skirt, a chic touch!

Antiage#3: parka militar: el verde militar, una parka ligera para verano o rellenita para invierno, sobre vestidos, pitillos, encaje...resta seriedad al outfit, y años a la que lo lleva!

Antiage#3: military parka: the military green in a light summer parka or a chunky winter version, over light dresses, skinnies or lace shirts takes seriousness away, and some years from who's wearing them!

Antiage#4: converse: sí, unas deportivas de toda la vida, bien combinadas sin caer en el exceso del chandal!, pueden resultar además de cómodas, rejuvenecedoras.

Antiage#4: converse: yes, the classic sneakers, well combined without dressing excessively sporty, can be not only super comfy but rejuvenating.

Antiage#5: perfecto: la chupa de cuero, sea del color que sea, también te ayudará a conseguir un desenfadado pero estiloso look, incluso con vestidos largos te dará ese toque de street style urbano!

Antiage#5: perfect jacket: in every color (with common sense, please), can also help you to get a loose but stylish outfit, even over a full dress, it'll make you an urban street styler!

Chicas, os tengo que contar un nuevo descubrimiento. Ya sabéis de mi perdición por los accesorios, por los collares grandes y llamativos y las pulseras, estos dos son mis básicos en el día a día, hasta para ir a trabajar! No sé por qué soy menos de anillos... El caso es que el otro día tuve la oportunidad de conocer (por casualidad) a la creadora de una de las pulseras preferidas por las bloggers españolas, las pulseras de Mymimit.

Dear followers, I have to tell you about my last discovery. You already know about my addiction to accessories, to statement necklaces and bracelets...these are my two daily basics, even for the office! I don't know why I'm not a big fan of rings...The thing is I had the opportunity to meet (by chance) the creator of one of the most popular bracelets among the spanish bloggers, Mymimit bracelets.

Sus creaciones tienen algo en común con lo que yo entiendo por estilo: sencillez, buen gusto y minimalismo.

Her creations have all something in common to what I understand by style: simplicity, good taste and minimalism.

Los materiales son nobles, sólo piedras, de colores, en forma de flor, coral y por supuesto, la reina de la colección: las calaveras (llamémoslas skulls, que suena mejor, no creéis?) Ojo, no son feas, ni muy rockeras, ni agresivas...son dulces, cálidas...parece mentira!

Materials are fine, only stones, colorful, in the shape of flowers, coral and of course, the queen of the collection: skulls. But don't think in ugly, rocky and aggressive skulls..they're surprisingly lovely, sweet...

Mi perdición fue este collar de coral blanco, me parece taaan favorecedor, clásico y chic! Está de camino, deseando estoy de estrenarlo!

I couldn't just resist to this white coral necklace, I find it so flattering, classy but chic! It's on the way, I just can't wait to wear it!

Por fin vuelvo a escribir, he estado unos días a tope pero ya estoy de vuelta!

At last I'm posting again, I had quite a stressful week!

Veréis, este post es una mezcla de opinión y gusto personal y consejo a una amiga, que ha tenido la grandísima suerte de hacerse con el que a partir de ahora llamaremos THE DRESS, sí, hablo del espectacular vestido de H&M Concious Collection de volantes. Cuando lo vi en un blog me entraron ganas hasta de casarme!!!

Look, this post is mix of self opinion and some advice for a friend of mine, who was so luckly to get what from now on we'll name THE DRESS, yes, I'm talking about the gorgeous H&M Concious Collection dress. When I first saw it in a blog I even thought about getting married!!!

Mi amiga lo tiene, y le sienta genial y será su vestido de boda, sí, un vestido de novia un tanto atípico, pero que a mi me chifla! (Cada día me gustan menos los vestidos de novia novia). Por cierto, no me pueden gustar más estos otros vestidos románticos de Zara (será un avance de Zara Novias!?!)

She's so flattered with it that it will be her bridal dress, yes, a perfect non typical wedding dress! I really support her decision, I like less and less the standard bridal pieces. By the way, I can't be more in love with these two romantic ZARA frocks (will be this an advance of Zara Brides?!!?)

Y la gran pregunta, qué zapatos se pone una novia que va de no-novia? Pues está claro, unos zapatos de no-novia! Olvídate del blanco, y busca unos zapatos que vayan más acorde con tu personalidad, que además sean amortizables, y el verdadero recuerdo del gran día. (Yo lo tengo claro, cambiaría el presupuesto e invertiría en unos buenos zapatos!)

And the question is, which shoes go with a non-bridal dress? It's obvious, non-bridal shoes! Forget the white, and look for a pair of shoes which show your personality. Also important, they should be redeemable, think they'll be your real "souvenir" of the great day! (It's clear to me, I would turn the budget over to invest in a nice pair of shoes!)

wedding season: lace dress

Ya estamos en plena temporada de bodas, bautizos, comuniones y demás eventos de semi- o gran etiqueta. Muy a mi pesar, no tengo ninguno a la vista! Pero como es una tema que me encanta, me gusta investigar, ponerme en el lugar de mis amigas que sí que tienen la agenda repleta, y por eso hoy voy a utilizar este post para responder a una de ellas.

We have just begun the Events season, weddings, christening parties and other kind of semi or black-tie parties. Much to my regret, I don't have any this year. But because this is a matter I love, I enjoy doing the research on behalf of my friends, who do have the need of finding the perfect outfit, that's why I'm using this post to reply to one of them.

¿ Vestido sencillo + complementos llamativos?

Sí rotundo. Es de hecho mi opción favorita para las eventos de día, un vestido corto, de un sólo color, de tejido rico y acompañado de accesorios llamativos, pero ojo, no todos a la vez.

Simple dress + statement accessories ?

Absolutely yes. Actually it's my favourite option for the day events, a nice little dress, in a plain color, of a rich fabric and well accompanied by bright accessories, but be careful, don't put all on at the same time.

Mi consejo? Zapatos nude, clutch exótico y tocado grande en contraste.

My advise? Nude pumps, exotic clutch and big contrast headdress.

¿Vestido estampado + complementos sencillos?

Una excelente opción si quieres llevar algo más informal, o eres una apasionada de los estampados, o eres muy trendy, estás de suerte, esta temporada es la de los grandes estampados! Puesto que el vestido por sí solo va a ser llamativo, no te compliques con los complementos, sencillos pero elegantes, piensa siempre en evitar el exceso, incluso en el peinado!

Printed dress + simple accessories?

An excellent option if you want to dress less formal, if you are a print lover of if you are very trendy because this is the season of the bold prints! Bear in mind the dress must be the centre of the outfit so don't make it difficult with the accessories, go for simple but chic ones, avoid the excess, even in the hairstyle!

¿ Vestido de encaje ?

Esta ha sido la pregunta. Es complicado por ser un tejido tradicionalmente de novias, pero se puede llevar perfectamente, de hecho, es una de las tendencias estrella de la primavera. Si el color va a ser claro, pasteles o nude, opta por complementos de color, los zapatos en coral o fucsias, incluso sandalias plateadas, el bolso en clave mix&match: metálico, con prints, plumas...

Lace dress?

This was the question. It's not an easy fabric, traditionally worn by grooms, but it can be perfectly worn by the guests too, in fact, it's one of the hottest trend this Spring. If you choose a nude or a pastel frock, accessories should be in bright color, coral or fuchsia shoes, even silver heeled sandals, a mix&match bag, go for metallic, prints or feathers...

No os pasa a vosotras que tenéis días que sólo se os ocurre poneros básicos? A mí me pasa por lo menos una vez por semana, y me encanta! Hoy ha tocado "el día del básico": jeans + botines + camisa blanca + cardigan de lana, simple pero chic, ese ha sido mi pensamiento esta mañana, :)

En un momento en el que todo se lleva, todo se mezcla, los estampados son cada vez más llamativos, los accesorios más exagerados, escoger un outfit DETOX de vez en cuando no viene mal, verdad?

¿Qué hago con mis piernas? Me encanta la primavera, el buen tiempo en Abril, y en camisa por la calle, genial, pero y las piernas, qué hago con ellas, llevo medias o no? Es pronto para ir sin medias, además de tenerlas más blancas que la leche, no me pega ir a trabajar sin medias tan pronto...por las mañanas hace frío...pero estoy deseando llevar faldas, mi prenda fetiche!

What can I do with my legs? I love Spring, nice weather in April, leave the jacket at home, great, but...and the legs? what can I do, shall I wear tights or not? I think it is still soon to go without them, moreover my legs are milk-white, mornings it is cold...I don't find the moment to start going to the office without tights...I do want to wear skirts, my fetish garment!

"Hoy vienes de domingo" eso me han dicho esta mañana en la oficina, y yo me pregunto ¿de domingo? ¿cuál es el atuendo de un domingo? Os cuento mi outfit: blusa seda rosa palo + blazer nude + vaqueros pitillos + stilettos nude. Eso es un outfit de domingo? Perdonad la insistencia, pero es que me he quedado pensándolo todo el día! :)

"You come today with a Sunday outfit" this is what I have been told this morning in the office, and I wonder: sunday outfit? what's a sunday outfit? I describe you what I wore: pale pink silky blouse + nude blazer + skinny jeans + nude pumps. Is this a sunday stylism? Yesterday a friend asked me about the importance of oneself image, why I am so "worried" about clothing...allright, I'm not representative because I'm a fashion lover, I never have enough shoes, garments nor accessories...but it's true that one's image tells more than words: tell me how you dress and I tell you who you are...and where you go!

Referring to the first question, I'm going to focus today on possible working girls of the street style:

1. Trendy: en las que yo me inspiro, aunque no llevo a la práctica 100%, para mi ellas van siempre de 10, adaptadoras de las tendencias de pasarela a la vida real.

1. Trendy: in whom I get inspired, though I don't follow them 100% I find them always perfect, they are who really adapt the runway trends to the real life.

2. Fashionista: son las que me gusta ver, pero no me atrevo a imitar (todavía), sus estilismos no pasan nunca desapercibidos, y son las auténticas street stylers.

No no no, ni lo estoy ni se me pasa por la imaginación ;) Pero tenía pendiente dedicarle este post a una amiga que ya está "bastante embarazada" y que como todas, no se ve bien con nada y le cuesta encontrar prendas que le favorezcan, aunque dicho sea de paso, a las embarazadas poco les hace falta para estar guapas porque tienen siempre una cara de felicidad...!

No no no, I'm not and I don't want to think about it ;) but I promised this dedicated post to a friend who is "quite pregnant" already, who has the common problem to find flattering clothes which fit her..but to tell the truth, pregnants don't need much they all have a radiant happiness face...!

No suelo escribir sobre estilo y moda de hombres, pero hoy TENÍA que hacerlo, y es que ayer me hizo mucha ilusión ver en el telediario de la noche que se hablaba de la nueva moda masculina, que ya comenté yo aquí, los calcetines llamativos!

I don't write much about men style and fashion, but today I HAD TO. Yesterday I was so happy when in the TV news they talked about this new masculine trend, that I already posted about (here), that's the eyecatching socks!

Llevo viéndolo mucho tiempo en el mejor street style masculino, y cada vez me gusta más, por eso ya he convencido a mi chico para que se anime a darle color e imaginación a los calcetines, normalmente aburridos ejecutivos oscuros...

I have been observing it in the best men street style, and I like it more and more, that's why I managed to convince my boyfriend to start risking with the socks color, forgetting the boring dark ones for a while...

Yo lo asocio con el estilo de hombre italiano, que cuida hasta el más mínimo detalle, con ese toque de elegancia innato en ellos mezclado con el savoir faire fashion, también innato en ellos ¿?

I associate it with the pure italian men style, who pay attention to the latest detail, with their inborn elegance mixed with their fashion savoir faire, inborn too¿?

Vintage es el término empleado para referirse a objetos o accesorios de calidad que presentan cierta edad, los cuales sin embargo no pueden aun catalogarse como antigüedades- Wikipedia dixit.

Vintage is the word used to refer to things and accessories of certain quality and age, but still not considered antiques- Wikipedia dixit.

Si te pregunto qué te viene a la cabeza cuando digo "vintage" (pronúnciese como quiera), qué imágenes te vienen? A mí fotos de Portobello Market en Londres en primavera, de casa de campo con teteras metálicas en tonos pastel y manteles de flores, broches camafeos y bolsos de las abuelas...pero hoy en día yo creo que ser vintage es una actitud.

If I ask you now what's your idea of "vintage", which images come first to your mind? I see pictures of Portobello Market in London in Spring, a British cottage with flower print tableclothes and pastel metal teapots, cameo broochs and grandma's leather bags...but nowadays I think to be vintage is a matter of attitude.

Ahora lo más es ser vintage chic, es decir, ir tremendamente fashion pero con algo que antes decíamos de mercadillo y ahora ponemos "vintage", algo que no nos acordamos dónde compramos hace tiempo o no tiene marca, ahora se llama vintage. Y a mí me gusta el nombre, porque a veces son verdaderas "joyas".

Actually, now the coolest is to go vintage chic, in other words, go super trendy but with something before called "from flea market" and now "vintage", something we don't remember the brand or where we bought and now it's "vintage". And I have to say, I like this word, some things are really a treasure.

Será por eso que me cuesta tanto deshacerme de la ropa vieja... en qué momento lo demodé pasa a ser vintage?

This could be the reason why is hard for me to get rid of old clothes...when a demodé garment become vintage?

Entre las adolescentes europeas hay una fuerte tendencia a vestir vintage, aquí en España no tanto, al menos en el norte, pero poco a poco todos vamos adquiriendo toques de ese estilo: los cinturones de cuero con hebillas años 80, alpargatas, los bolsos desgastados tipo satchel y por supuesto, las ya nada vintage, gafas nerd.

Among the European teens there's a strong trend of wearing vintage, here in Spain not so much, at least in the North, but I see we have started to introduce some style details: old leather belts with 80's buckles, espadrilles, worn satchel bags and of course, the not any more vintage, nerd glasses.

Pero si hay algo muy muy vintage, pero que podemos comprar "brand new" eso es ropa interior, no notáis que últimamente toda la lencería tiene un toque retro, digo, vintage ;)

But if there's anything very very vintage, but we can buy "brand new" is underwear, don't you find that there are retro, sorry I mean vintage, lingerie everywhere?

Dicho esto, yo no soy muy vintage, quizá no tengo tanta personalidad fashionil y me gusta más seguir las tendencias, pero es verdad que admiro a las que lo saben mezclar con prendas de temporada, me encanta el resultado, y aprender a hacerlo bien es mi reto!

Having said this, I'm not very vintage, maybe I don't have such a fashion personality and I do prefer to follow seasonal trends, but I admire more to those who know how to mix & match seasonal must haves and vintage clothes, I love the result, that's my challenge!

Siempre he pensado que las chicas que llevan el pelo muy corto, à lo garçon, en clave fashion, tienen una fuerte personalidad. No es nada fácil atreverse a dar ese paso, sobre todo cuando sobre pasarela y en la calle, las melenas mandan. Antiguamente se asociaba con la masculinidad, pero para mi es más bien todo lo contrario, no hay más femme fatale que una mujer con pelo corto y vestida ultra femenina.

I've always thought that girls with à lo garçon haircut should have a strong personality. It's not easy to decide for this cut, specially when what we see in runways and streets are on the contrary proud long hair women. In the past it was associated to the masculinity, but as for me it's just the opposite, there's no more femme fatale than a short hair woman wearing ultra feminine clothes.

Entre las celebrities hubo una moda, y a cada cual le sentaba mejor.

Among the celebrities, there was a boom some years ago, I couldn't choose the flatterest one...

En el detalle y las cosas pequeña está el estilo.

Style is in small things and details.

Esa es mi reflexión del día, estoy convencida de que la forma de colocar, ponerse o destacar una misma prenda o accesorio marca la diferencia. Por qué no se ve igual una misma camisa blanca en dos chicas distintas? Yo me fijo mucho muchísimo en esas cosas, en las revistas, sabiendo que me es imposible llevar unos pitillos de Isabel Marant o un pañuelo de Céline me fijo en cómo lo llevan, para hacer lo mismo con el mio de Zara... y por la calle, se aprende tanto de las chicas estilosas de la calle!

That's my thought of today, I'm convinced that the way of placing, wearing or standing out a garment or accessory makes the difference. Why doesn't look like the same white shirt in two different women? I do pay much attention to all these things, when I "read" a fashion magazine, I know I won't buy a pair of Marant skinnies or a trendy Céline scarf, but I learn how they wear them and I do the same with my Zara's...obviously I learn a lot from the stylish girls in the street!

5. Cuello en pico: 0 adornos, Cuello redondo: collar o cuello llamativo

Tengo que bloguear, tengo que bloguear, tengo que bloguear... eso llevo pensando toda la semana pero estos días Murphy ha sido mi compañero y me ha sido imposible. Hoy he querido sacar un ratito para compartir con vosotras mis NECESIDADES más inmediatas:

I have to blog, I have to blog, I have to blog... this is what I have been thinking the last week, but Murphy has been my inseparable friend and I could not manage. Today I could get some time to post and share with you my most immediate NEEDS:

- Necesito que llegue la primavera

- I need Spring to arrive

- Necesito cambiar el armario (aunque cada vez cambia menos, la verdad)

- I need to change my wardrobe seasonal clothes (although now less and less changes)

- Necesito ir un día de shopping intensivo

- I need to go shopping a whole day

Como ya me he aprendido de pé a pá los lookbooks, fashion books y demás revistas de colecciones, sé que NECESITO lo siguiente:

Since I have already learnt /by heart/ every lookbook, fashion book and some other fashion magazines, I know I do NEED the following:

1. Un pitillo verde menta: el color de la primavera, me lo pondré con colores suaves, emulando al color block del año pasado, versión descafeinada...

1. A mint green skinny: the colour of the Spring, I will wear it with soft tones, emulating the last year color block, but with decaff colors...

2. Una perfecto nude: en vez de negra, más light, más ponible en primavera con los nuevos colores, flores y encajes.

2. A nude perfect jacket: instead of the classic black, I find it lighter, easy-to-wear in Spring with the new colors, flower prints and decaff colors...

3. Una blusa con cuello bobo (sí, ya he caído, lo sabía!!!), no sé si lisa o con algún print, o las dos! Son los comodines del armario en todas las épocas del año, no esperaré a la primavera para llevarlas con chaquetas de punto gorditas.

3. A peter pan collar blouse (yes, I fell, I knew it!!), I don't know whether get it plain or printed, or both! They are my wild card all the year around, I won't wait for Spring to wear them under chunky knitted cardigans.

4. Un vestido o falda de corte desigual, es lo más este verano, este corte tan Balenciaga (me encanta!) está por todas partes, así que empezaré por un desnivel pequeñito para que no me resulte too much.

4. Tail hem dress or skirt, it's absolutely a MUST HAVE this season, a typical Balenciaga cut (I love it!), you can find one everywhere. I think I'll start with a small tail, so I don't find it too much.

5. Un pantalón pijama, sí creo que me atreveré! Elegiré un print más discreto y creo que con la eterna blusa blanca quedará genial, sobre todo en clave working!

5. A pyjama trouser, yes I think I'll dare! I will go for a discreet print, combined with the eternal white blouse will be perfectly matched, a renovated working suit!

6. Unos stilettos de ante pastel, rosas, menta, o varios combinados, los bicolores son pura tendencia este verano.

Sí, ya ha pasado San Valentín, pero yo quiero seguir con esa ola de romanticismo, un poco menos comercial...y más pura. Porque ser romántica está de moda, o por lo menos parecerlo! Ya a estas altura todo el mundo sabe que en primavera llevaremos colores pasteles, encajes y flores por todas partes, pero es sólo una tendencia más. Hoy he querido fijarme en esas bloggers que de un modo u otro desprenden ese halo de fragilidad y romanticismo en sus outfits, y en sus escenarios a veces super cuidados!

Yes, San Valentin has gone, but I want to go on with this wave of romanticism some more days, something less commercial... and purer. Because being romantic is on fashion, or at least, looking like! Estamos hartas de oírlo todos los días, "hay que apretarse el cinturón", una vez y otra más. Ya no sé si tenemos más cintura!!! Pero lo cierto es que adoro los cinturones, tengo ya dos baúles a rebosar y la colección no para de crecer. Para mí, con perdón de mis collares, son el accesorio estrella para todo tipo de looks...y muy pocos van en su sitio (por las trabillas del pantalón).

We're all fed up with listening again and again "we have to tighten the belt". Have we got waist any more?! But to be honest, I love belts, I have two full chests, and the collection keeps growing. As for me, with necklaces' permission, they're the star accessory for evey sort of looks... and rarely I wear them "in their natural position" (through trouser's stirrups).

Today, I have been watching Victoria Beckham Fall 12/13 collection and I have to admit I love it, it's so femenine, so minimalist...her frocks are so working (and too tight), I found they all have something in common: the hourglass figure, which elongates legs, shows off women curves and have a 50's vibe so on fashion right now..

- sobre el abrigo: si es entallado como si es oversize, marca piernas y reduce volumen arriba.

- over the coat: it works with both tailored and oversized coats, it make the legs longer and reduce volume on top.

- sobre el blazer: muy elegante, yo recurro mucho a esta técnica, es tan working chic!

- over the blazer: so elegant and chic, I use quite often this "technique", it's so working chic!

- sobre un jersey + falda / vestido: cuando hacemos mezclas de texturas: lanas + encaje, punto + seda, me encanta marcar la cintura sobre un jersey gordito que llevo por fuera.

- over a jumper + skirt / dress: when I mix textures, such us wool + lace, knit + silk, I like to show off my waist over a thick jumper or cardigan when I wear them untucked.

- sobre un vestido corto, de día: consigues personalizarlo, adaptarlo a tu cuerpo y cambiarlo de registro, el mismo vestido puede ser elgantísimo o super casual, sólo gracias al cinturón.

- over a frock, daytime: you can make it yours, adapt it to your shape, change the style, an unique piece can be super elegant and super casual, just depending on the belt.

- sobre un vestido largo, de noche: me encantaría llevar uno al estilo de Elie Saab con un cinturón finito bien alto en la cintura, es tan bonito y femenino...

- over a night gown: I'd love to wear one, Elie Saab's style, with a super skinny belt high waisted, it's so beautiful and femenine...

Aprovechando el tributo que Karl Lagerfeld le quiere rendir a la chaqueta negra (con libro ilustrativo y exposición temática en Tokio), que diseñó Coco Chanel en los años 50 y que la firma ha ido reinventado cada temporada hasta hacer de ella un básico deseado por todas las fashionistas del planeta, he querido recoger en este post todos mis little blacks!

After reading about the tribute Karl Lagerfeld pays to the little black jacket (with a ilustrated book and dedicated exhibition in Tokyo), which was designed by Coco Chanel in the 50's and has been reinvented every season making it a basic garment, a most wanted piece among the world fashionists, I am posting here about my personal little blacks!

El negro es el color más versátil que hay, el que nos puede sacar de muchos apuros cuando nos entra el ataque de "no tengo nada que ponerme" y nuestro aliado cuando queremos disimular "alguna imperfección" (si es que las tenemos, claro!:))

Black is the most versatile color. It can help us in those "I-don't-have-anything-to-wear" moments and be our best allied when we want to hide "any imperfection" (in case we have it, of course! :))

1. Little black dress: no creo que haga falta mucha explicación, hay que tener más de uno, de tirantes, de manga corta, de lana, de algodón, de gasa...siempre irás bien con él.

6. Little black belt: soy una adicta a los cinturones, cuanto más finos mejor (soy petite..) así que uno negro masculino y uno negro finissímo serán claves para marcar cintura, ajustar prendas oversize o decorar tu traje más working.

6. Little black belt: I'm a confessed belt addict, the skinniest the better (i'm petite...), then a masculine black one and a super skinny one are your key tools to accentuate your waist, tighten your loose tops or decorate your working suit.

If you have all these in your wardrobe, you've got the base to build any kind of outfit, from the classiest to the trendiest, from casual to sophisticate.

Mi consejo de hoy es: ir renovando cada temporada alguna de estas piezas, buscando cortes más actuales o tejidos más innovadores, pero nunca te deshagas de los antiguos, serán vintage dentro de nada!
Mi advise of today is: renovate every season some of these pieces, looking for current shapes or more actual fabrics, bue never get rid of the old ones, they'll become vintage soon!

backstage experience

Nunca antes había vivido la moda desde dentro, ni siquiera había asistido a un desfile, me conformaba con los reportajes de las revistas y los videos online...pero ahora puedo decir que he respirado la tensión de los últimos instantes, y no es para menos, porque todo el trabajo de varios meses se resume en tan sólo 15 minutos sobre la pasarela. Esta es mi experiencia en la Mercedes Benz Madrid Fashion Week 2012, desde el backstage.

Never before I had lived fashion from inside, not even attended a fashion show, I was happy with the articles on magazines or videos in webs...but now I can say I have felt the last minutes stress, quite reasonable, because the hard work of a whole team during several months sums up in just 15 minutes on the runway. This is my experience in the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid 2012, from the backstage.

Tuve la grandísima suerte de poder vivir y aportar mi granito de arena desde dentro del vestuario del diseñador Ion Fiz, a quien admiro muchísimo y considero un gran artista, aún más después de ver sus auténticas "obras maestras" desde cerca.

I had the great opportunity to live and modestly help inside the designer Ion Fiz's dressing room, who I so much admire and consider a talented artist, even more after watching closely his real "works of art".

Nada se deja a la improvisación y todo tiene que estar perfecto, impecable. En los minutos previos la tensión convivía con las puntadas, alfileres, planchados y arreglos de última hora.

Nothing is left to improvisation, everything must be perfect, impeccable. In the last minutes before the show tension lives together with stiches, pins, ironing and final touches.

Todas las prendas están preparadas en su sitio, todos sabíamos lo que había que hacer, cómo vestir a las modelos es toda una experiencia, y una responsabilidad!

Every garment was ready in its place, everyone knew what to do, how to dress models is quite an experience, and a responsibility!

Ya empieza el desfile, los cambios de ropa son rapídisimos, las modelos corren sobre tacones imposibles, pero bellísimos (quién pudiera sufrir un día con ellos!).

The show starts, dress changes are ultra-fast, models run on impossible heels, but beautiful (how could suffer a day on them!)

Sólo puedo decir que estoy impresionada, fascinada y sobre todo agradecida, por eso quiero compartirlo con vosotros (aunque las fotos no sean de gran calidad, no había tiempo ni para eso!)

I just can say I'm so impressed, fascinated and specially grateful, that's why I want to share it with you (though the pictures are not of good quality, there was no time to waste!)

you speak Fashion?

Hoy en día es muy muy fácil opinar e incluso hacerse la entendida en esto de la moda, pero qué es saber de moda? Yo no me atrevería a decir "sé de moda", sólo puedo decir "me apasiona la moda", y por eso me animo a compartir con vosotras mis ideas, mis gustos y a veces, hasta me atrevo a aconsejaros!

Nowadays it is very very easy to give our point of view or what's more, to simulate being a fashion expert. But what does it really mean "to know about fashion"? I wouldn't say "I know about Fashion", I just can say "I'm a fashion enthusiast", that's why I fancy sharing with you my ideas, my taste and sometime, I even give you some advise!

Entonces, qué es saber de moda? quién sabe de moda? Me diréis, Anna Wintour, Karl Lagerfeld o incluso diríais Alexa Chung. Y Amancio Ortega o la familia Benetton? Ellos no saben? quizá no tenga la vena creativa de Karl, el desparpajo vistiendo de Alexa o el poder de influencia de Mrs Wintour, pero si a mi me dicen quién es tu ídolo en el universo fashionil, ese es Amancio. Al que todos los días le doy las gracias en silencio...jijiji.

Then, what does it mean "know about fashion"? who knows more about fashion? You may tell me, Anna Wintour, Karl Lagerfeld or even Alexa Chung. What about Amancio Ortega (ZARA founder) or the Benetton family? Don't they know? They maybe don't have Karl's creativity, Alexa's wearing ease or Mrs Wintour's influence, but if I had to say who's my idol in the fashion universe, I would say Amancio. To whom I say everyday thanks in silence ...;)

Por esto, me decidí a estudiar un poco más en profundidad los entresijos de la industria de la moda, y no desde el lado creativo (que lo tengo 0 desarrollado) sino desde el punto de vista empresarial, y para ello qué mejor que estudiar un MBA en Dirección y Gestión de empresas de moda y belleza, en la escuela de negocios ESDEN. Suena bien verdad?

That's the reason why I decided to study a bit more in depth the ins and outs of the fashion industry, not from the creative side (I have null creativity skill) but from the business side. Is there any better decision than to study the MBA in Management of Fashion & Beauty Business, in ESDEN business school? It sounds good, isn't it?

Llevo sólo tres meses y sólo puedo decir que me apasiona, nunca antes había prestado tanta atención en clase! Es un lujo contar con profesores que tienen tanto que contar y de los que hay tanto que aprender... vienen de Dior, Dolores Promesas, Cortefiel, Shisheido... y además participaciones estelares como el primer día con Miguel Palacio, increíble!

I've started only three months ago and all I can say is: I'm fascinated, never before I had been so attentive in class! We have a great teachers team, they have so much to tell and to learn from, they come from Dior, Dolores Promesas, Cortefiel, Shisheido...and the collaborations are of first level, I remember the first lecture given by the Spanish designer Miguel Palacio, awesome!

Así que chicas y chicos, si de verdad os gusta esto y lo veis con "ojos de negocio", os aconsejo que os lo toméis en serio como yo y disfrutéis aprendiendo lo que más os gusta.

My dear readers, if you really like this world and you look at it with "business eyes", I do encourage you to take it seriously as I did and enjoy learning what you really like.

Cuántas veces hemos oído a nuestros novios, maridos, padres decirnos: "pero cuántos bolsos tienes? de verdad necesitas uno más? dónde lo vas a meter?" Yo infinitas veces, pero mi respuesta, contundente, siempre es la misma: "nunca se tienen demasiados bolsos". Recuerdo mis tardes enteras en el mercado de bolsos de Guangzhou, imaginaos un edificio de varias plantas dónde sólo se venden bolsos, mi paraíso (no el de mi bolsillo...)!

How many times have you had to listen to your boyfriends, husbands and parents tell you: how many bags you've got already? you really need one more? where are you going to store it?? Myself, infinite times. But I have my forceful answer always ready: "never have too many bags". I remember my whole afternoons in the bags-market in Guangzhou, imagine a several-story building full of bags (only bags), my paradise (not my pocket's)

Y como en mis gustos fashionistas esto va por rachas, ahora estoy en el momento: me gusta todo lo que no tenga asas. Lo más "cómodo" vamos, pero ya me parece "un poco feo" salir un sábado con un bolso colgado del hombro, como mucho una bandolera de asa larga (sin cruzar, eso sí).

As my fashionist taste goes in phases, now I'm in the moment of: I love everything handle-free. Yes, super comfy, now I even find "not very cool" going out a Saturday with a hanging bag, at most a long crossbody bag (but do not cross it, please!)

If you are one of those who still associate hand bag with black-tie event, like weddings...my dears, let me tell you're wrong, have a look:

- Bolso tipo sobre suficientemente grande para las working girls.

- Envelope clutch, big enough for the working girls.

- Bolso rústico, con toque hippie, para las más boho urban.

- Rustic bag, with a hippie touch, for the boho urban girls.

No me lo puedo creer, mi compi Raquel en el street style boho chic!

- Bolso brilli-brilli para las tardes-noches de terracitas y tapas.

- Sparkling bag for the evenings out (in chic urban terrace, tapas bar..)

- Bolso joya, para completar un look perfecto y sofisticado.

- Jewel bag, to finish a perfect and polished outfit.

- Bolso neceser (lo acabo de bautizar así), para llevar de todo y en todo momento, soy una adicta a este tipo de bolsitos más casual (y lo de neceser no es broma!)

- Vanity bag (I have just given this name), to carry everything and everywhere, I'm an addict of this kind of casual bags (the name "vanity bag" isn't a joke!)

Y no me quiero olvidar de los estilosísimos hombres con clutch debajo del brazo (un toque muy italiano) que me encantan!

I don't want to forget the super stylish men with a nice clutch under the arm (a very italian touch), I love them!

Entonces qué, os he convencido para empezar a llevar bolsos de mano a todas horas?
